Black urchins are spikey, underwater sea creatures that are key to the health and survival of our coral reefs. Unlike real, untouchable urchins, Wired’s Black Urchin collection is made from soft, tactile, rubber tubing salvaged from my favorite San Francisco recycling center. I have been known to bring an empty suitcase in anticipation of all the cool stuff I find there.
